This two day course explores basic and intermediate-level aspects of small animal reproduction. The course is practically based and highly interactive, with each lecture being followed by a relevant practical class. During the course you will learn how to approach cases of infertility, conduct a breeding soundness examination, monitor pregnancy and evaluate cases of dystocia, and deal with common reproductive problems in females and males.
What you will learn:
- Normal physiology of reproduction
- Breeding soundness examination in males and females including ultrasound of the reproductive tract
- Pregnancy diagnosis with ultrasound
- Management of dystocia
- Principles of exogenous hormone use
- Managing cases of infertility and reproductive tract disease
- Diagnosis and management of prostatic disease
