Amputations

The schedule 3 amendment to The Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 allows minor surgery to be undertaken by a veterinary nurse under the delegation and supervision of a veterinary surgeon. This includes simple amputations. This session aims to remove the fear from the removal of ears, toes and tail surgery.

  • tail amputations
  • ear pinna surgery and amputations
  • toe amputations
Session 3

Biopsies and mass removal

Biopsies can be diagnostics and sometimes even curative. With each lesion the appropriate technique must be considered to increase the chance of both a diagnosis and it’s accuracy. In this session we’ll discuss the various types of biopsy techniques, which one to choose and how to perform them both safely and effectively. Simple mass removal

What you’ll learn:

  • Biopsy techniques and their advantages and disadvantages

Course Feedback :

“Next time we get a traumatic wound case these course notes will help with the treatment!

“I enjoyed it and enjoyed being able to do at my own pace. It’s much easier to do the webinars when I have quiet time at home or in practice.

“I have learnt some new things and refreshed on others that are not used so much in some small animal practices!
