Approach and diagnosis of the extraction case

An insight into the diagnostic workup of an extraction case, from case presentation, clinical signs and rider presentation through to extraction preparation. This session will breakdown your diagnostic imaging tools and their application to achieve an accurate diagnosis. We will encompass the analgesic and anaesthetic protocols to work alongside the extraction.

Basics of the oral cheek tooth extraction

A systematic and surgical approach to the oral extraction of an equine cheek tooth. Starting with the essential extraction equipment and its application through to tricks and tips towards a successful extraction. Case examples will be discussed.

Complications of tooth extractions
