Are you experienced with exploratory laparotomies and ready to start performing more advanced procedures? This course will equip you with the knowledge that you need for preparing your small animal patients for more challenging procedures. You’ll learn key practical skills for successful outcomes in a supportive environment with extensive hands-on wet lab sessions. Lee Meakin, Head of Soft Tissue Surgery at Langford Vets (University of Bristol) will guide you through the procedures in this two-day highly practical course so that you will feel confident to tackle more difficult surgeries when you get back to your practice.

  • Intestines: typhlectomy, ileocaecocolic junction resection, subtotal colectomy
  • Endocrine: pancreatic mass resection, adrenalectomy and cavotomy
  • Liver: liver lobectomy, hepatectomy
  • Biliary system: cholecystectomy, cholecystenterostomy
  • Urinary system: neoureterocystostomy, colposuspension/urethropexy
  • How to refine your skills to cope with all eventualities
