What you’ll learn:
- Unblocking the blocked cat – tips and tricks to relieve the obstruction and prevent re-blocking
- Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC): current understanding of its causes, new developments in diagnosis and practical approaches to management and prevention
- What if it isn’t FIC? An update on current approaches to managing urolithiasis, bacterial urinary tract infections and bladder neoplasia
Session 2: Tuesday 23rd April 2pm-4pm (UK time)

What you’ll learn:

- To Review the common causes and outline a practical, minimally stressful approach to emergency assessment and management of these difficult cases.
- Asthma and chronic bronchitis: a practical approach to diagnosis, and a review of current treatment options.
- The role of infectious agents in lower airway disease
- Interpreting thoracic radiographs; performing bronchoalveolar lavage and fine needle lung aspirates to reach a diagnosis.
- Be able to rapidly assess a cat presenting with acute dyspnoea and apply appropriate emergency treatment
Session 3: Tuesday 7th May 2pm-4pm (UK time)

What you’ll learn:

- Pain scoring and the use of analgesics for acute pain in cats
- Managing chronic pain; indications, advantages and limitations of current treatment options
- Safe Sedation – the use of appropriate sedative combinations for stress-free handling, allowing you do a better job for your feline patients and their owners, with reduced risk of injury to your team.
