A three-day, highly practical course for confident TPLO planning and execution

A highly practical, extended 3-day course focused on confident TPLO planning and execution, combining patient selection, radiographic planning and extensive hands-on wet-lab training to support safe, effective outcomes in practice.
Dry-lab sessions on the first day will allow you to practice surgical planning and perform a TPLO on an artificial tibia. On the second and third day, wet-labs will allow each delegate to perform at least 2 TPLOs as primary surgeon with radiography to allow patient-specific preoperative planning and postoperative evaluation.

This extended three-day course is designed to give you the time, structure and supervised practical experience needed to understand the principles, plan accurately, practise the technique and then consolidate your surgical skills before returning to practice.

The additional third day gives you more supervised wet-lab time, allowing you to repeat the procedure, become more familiar with the instrumentation and workflow, review your technique and build confidence before taking the next step in practice.

This is a course for vets who want to invest properly in learning TPLO, not just to understand the procedure, but to leave further along the learning curve and with greater confidence and skills needed to perform TPLO surgery effectively in their practice.

Practical format:
This is a highly practical course with extensive guided wet-lab training. You’ll work through the key stages of TPLO planning and execution with close support, clear demonstrations and practical feedback throughout the course.

The course is designed to help you leave with a stronger grasp of the procedure, a more structured approach to planning and execution, and greater confidence in taking the next step with TPLO in practice.

TPLO is a demanding procedure, and confidence comes from repetition, feedback and time spent handling the instrumentation, planning the osteotomy and working through the surgical steps.

Based on delegate feedback we have extended this course to provide you with:
More time to understand patient selection, planning and decision-making
A gradual progression from planning and models through to wet-lab surgery
Additional supervised wet-lab practice on the third day
The opportunity to perform and assist with TPLO procedures
