“Very thoroughly explained, comprehensive material. Excellent explanations during the practical sessions. Felt confident to apply these techniques to general practice. Well structured and informative-highly enjoyable.”
Pelvic Fractures are comonly encountered in first opinion small animal practice. In many cases you may have to deal with the patient yourself where referral to a more experienced surgeon is not an option on financial grounds. This course is specifically designed to help you to become more proficient in decision-making and in the surgical treatment of some of the most commonly seen injuries of this region.
What you’ll learn:
- How to assess your patient and prioritise treatment
- Sacroiliac luxations – your best treatment options
- Hip luxations – decrease the chance of reluxation
- Ilial shaft fractures – surgical repair options
- Coping with acetabular fractures
- Extensive ‘hands-on’ practical wet lab sessions with guidance from expert tutors – develop your practical and decision-making skills
